Hi my guinea pig has been both eating and drinking an awful lot at the moment i.e. approx 300ml per day he used to drink that in about 3 days. Should i be worried?

He is an indoor guinea pig and always has been, could it be due to the fact that the central heating is on a lot more now what with the cold weather?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
