Hello, my dog has been to the vets and the xrays show that he's either got bronchial pneumonia or lung cancer. Needless to say i am beside myself with worry.
They have given me a course of treatment to care for pneumonia and if he gets no better then we know it's cancer. Thing is until the tablets start working properly he's pretty uncomfortable.
I've took him in the bathroom while i have been in the bath to let the steam open his chest for easier breathing but that was only really a short term relief.
Does anyone have any ideas for how i can make life easier for him to breath, or any ideas of how i can get him to eat?
Or finally any ideas of how i can cure it?
Many Thanks

oh yes sorry and how does this affect my 2nd dog in terms of living space?
Is it contagious? Does it matter if they share drinking water etc?
many thanks

Hi. . .did you find out which it was? I hope it was not Cancer.
My dog has just been for an X-ray today and we've also been told it's one of the two.
Just looked at your post and it was a while ago so i'm not sure if you still come on here.

Hi i just happened to be checking up about an illness for another dog of mine and happened to stumble across this.
Unfortunately Dougal only lasted about a week and then i think his little heart just couldnt take the constant panting and fighting for his breath so we never did get to get a proper diagnosis. From what i have heard from people though it does sound as though it was more lung cancer than pnumonia. It was really hard to see him suffering day in and day out but i'm just pleased i could make him more comfortable.
I hope your little dog is ok.
