It is late at night and my 10 year old dog has developed what seems to be an allergice reaction - he is itchy, red, panting, his tongue, mouth and ears are more pink than usual. He is also panting and sometimes wheezing as he breathes. I can't get him to the vet now and I don't think it is an emergency but I would liek to give him some relief. I have some Allergan tablets for humans here and wonder if it is safe to give him a quarter tablet as I would if he were a child.
Or does anyone have any other suggestions. I will of course take him to the vet in the morning. By the way, this started yesterday so I treated him with Frontline this morning. He seemed better later in the day but worse again this evening. Don't know what to do for the best
