I just got a new puppy, her name is Alina Kayla Buttons Srey (I know I know). I've had her for a week this friday and she is only 3 1/2 months old. She is a Chiuhaua-Maltese Mix and she is also the runt if her litter of 6+. Well, she sleeps alot, and that is expected of her I guess. But the second night I had her I noticed as I was reading a book with her next to me, she began to twitch her facial features slightly. Then her paws kicked around. Then her whole body jerked around like she was twitching before she dies (Thats how my bird died long ago) And so I also thought: "Hey, she's having a nightmare, probally misses her mama" So I wake her up by picking her up. But her whole body was limp, like she was dead, but still breathing.
This continues to happen and I'm scared for her. As a matter of fact, it happened less than an hour ago, which brought me online to question. Whats wrong with her? I wanna go to the vets to get a check up, but my mother wont take me.

Hi! It could be that your puppy suffers from epilepsy or hypoglycaemia but it is unlikely that any seizure would stop because you pick the puppy up. It may well just be that the puppy is dreaming. Therefore when you pick her up whilst in a deep sleep, she would appear limp because she has not fully woken up.
It is important to take your puppy to the vet if you feel worried about her health.
