My 10 month old kitten has patches of dry skin in various parts of his body. It started by his collar, so I've removed that and it seems to have cleared up. When I've been grooming him I've noticed patches by his nipples, one on his back and they appear as scabs. No ticks no fleas, although I've frontlined him tonight to be on the safe side. Can cats get mainge or is that just in dogs? Any advice would be grateful.

Hi, my cat had what appeared to be mange a couple of years ago when a friend looked after him while i was on holiday abroad. She had a dog and used meet up with other dog owners every day. One site i looked into at the time stated that it is usually dogs but that it can be carried by them and by people to cats. I was lucky in that it was cleared within two weeks of my coming home. I had been told to rry Germolene on him and it worked (the tip came from a vet) so good luck.

There is a product called Mona Vie that I have been drinking myself, and giving to my dog that has helped him with all sort of problems. Maybe it will help your cat too.
