Does anyone else have a cat that loves water? My cat Harvey is mad about it - he practically gets in the shower with me every morning! He's even been known to fall in the bath a few times - and even that hasn't put him off!

My dog used to always go in *any* form of water he could find.
But now he's dead

My 6 month old cat LOVES water too! When is her birthday? Sometimes Astrology applies to animals as well. My kitten is, of course, a Pisces.

I hadn;t thought of that! Harvey is born at the begining of March so that would make him a Pisces too! Maybe that explains his fasination with it all!

My friend's cat loves water. She sits on the edge of the bath with her too.
My two loves drinking it. Not from their bowl though, oh no, that would be far too easy. Gemma drinks it straight from the tap or from the puddles outside or from our cups. Willow, however, is a bit more fussy and likes to drink out of the toilet!!

I've often come home in the evening or gone into the bathroom first thing in the morning to discover catty paw prints in the bath and basin. I think she does it specifically when we've just cleaned the bathroom and laughs up her paw at me. She did fall off the kitchen window sill into a bowl of washing up water once and was NOT happy at all....I've never seen that cat move so fast! I think though that she was more embarrassed at being seen to do something daft than concerned about being all wet.

My cat loves the sound of water. Whenever I am washing my hair or running a bath she will appear on the side and watch. She has fallen in the bath with me once which did put her off for a while, but curiosity got the better of her.
I have caught her drinking out of the bath occasionally but she wont drink out of a bowl by her food!

My cat Betty has her own cup as she won't drink out of a bowl. Like many others responding to this post, she prefers sinks, the bath and puddles. I've also had to resort to taking a bottle of water to bed as I've been woken up on several occasions by Betty drinking water from the glass beside bed or worse knocking it over in the middle of the night after I've come in from a hefty session. Still, love her to bits. She's a member of the cow-cats group on Flickr as it goes (http://www.flickr.com/groups/91716613@N00/).

I never realised cats were so into water - I always thought they hated it and the way to get rid of unwanted cats in your garden was to flick water at them?
My dog loves to jump up and drink the bath water when I'm in the bath - even if it has bubble bath in it! I knew some dogs were a bit stupid like that but am amazed at the cats.
