I never realised cats were so into water - I always thought they hated it and the way to get rid of unwanted cats in your garden was to flick water at them?
My dog loves to jump up and drink the bath water when I'm in the bath - even if it has bubble bath in it! I knew some dogs were a bit stupid like that but am amazed at the cats.
My dog was a rescue dog and if i went into the bath he would be in there with me,i think this was a way of getting close to me.I didnt realise that cats were the same i always thought they were afraid of water.

My cat chicken is a mental wee thing. We thought he was a girl until I made a surprise discovery one day I was grooming him! He is a nut for water! He gets in the shower with me, his favourite sleeping place is in my bathroom sink, he pokes the tap with his nose to get the airlocked water to come out and then he plays with it with his feet. I started to think there was a bit of a turkish swimming cat in him - only I rescued him from a bad area of town... He has really fluffy feet, a HUGE tail like a fox and he loves water. I fill my bath up and he walks around the edge dipping his toes in! he has fallen in sometimes but it doesnt deter him. He also will not drink out of his bowl but must drink out of the bathroom tap. Also has anyone noticed their cat being michievous and deliberatly knocking things off shelves or surfaces with their paw?? little monkies!!

My cats will now only drink water out of glasses, especially the one by my side of the bed and the one on the floor whilst i'm watching TV, and my black cat who recently changed her name to Jeff (too long a story) will only drink from the bathroom sink.
