I have two cats, Mitzi and Dolly, who are very keyed into my routine and who both sleep at my feet every night. In May, I'm visiting Greece for a fortnight without my partner, who is staying behind and will be looking after them. I'm already beginning to worry whether they'll fret, and if so if there's anything specific I can do about this before I go, i.e. leave something to remind them - or if it's possible that when out of sight cats, and animals in general, switch off the dependent side and adjust very fast to the new situation.

Hi hun, I have found that leaving something with your scent (cardy, housecoat etc) on or near to where they usually sleep, is a comforter. If your Partner is anything like mine tho, by the time i got back, (I was away a week) the cat had turned in2 a spoilt daddys boy!!!! haha!
Hope this helps
