Vital funds to help unwanted and abandoned cats across the UK can now be raised thanks to a new 118 enquiry line, dedicated to Cats Protection.
For every call to the 118 515 enquiry service, 9 pence will be donated to the UK’s leading feline welfare charity, which helps around 157,000 cats and kittens every year through its national network of 252 volunteer-run branches and 29 adoption centres.
Cats Protection relies heavily on public donations to carry out its feline welfare work so the charity is keen to encourage everyone to use the new enquiry number. Lucy Holmes, Partnerships Advisor for Cats Protection, said, “The number is up and running from now and is a wonderfully easy way for people to support us. Any money raised via this line will mean a lot to the charity and the cats we are able to help so we hope people will use the new number.”
The 118 515 line can give callers the contact details of any person or business and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
