With an increasing number of families requiring help with their pets, Julian Cheetham and Kate Titterton have opened The Canine Club (www.canine-club.co.uk), an exclusive subscription-based members-only canine care business offering services including dog walking, daily crèche facilities and dog boarding as an alternative to kennels.
The club, based in Kettleshulme, is aiming to service a client base in Prestbury, Macclesfield, Tytherington, Bollington, Pott Shrigley, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Disley, Whaley Bridge and Chapel en le Frith.
The subscription entitles dog owners to a range of services for all types of dog breeds and offers members a Pets at Home loyalty card entitling them to a 10% discount at their local store and a home delivery service.
Julian Cheetham, the owner of The Canine Club, said, “This is the first dedicated canine care centre in the Peak District. We decided to set up the centre after regularly looking after our friends’ dogs. We realised we really like working with man’s best friend. We enjoy walking and caring for dogs and can now offer more owners our specialised services. We realised there was a gap in the market for an exclusive members-only canine service and have finally decided to turn our passion into a business.
“Our stated aim is to build a long term relationship with the owner but more importantly develop a complete understanding of their dog enabling them to spend the day socialising, exercising and playing with our other members’ dogs.
“We intend to offer dog owners and potential dog owners a tailored package in line with their own lifestyles. For example the daily crèche will allow families to own a dog for the first time. Existing owners will welcome the flexibility as being a member provides flexibility so if something crops up we can step in.”
