This is very common if your cat goes outside and scrapes itself climbing a fence. Your pet's leg may become skinned showing a raw, red surface.
- bathe the wound with salt water (1 teaspoon of salt to a pint - 600ml - of warm water) and cotton wool
- if your pet licks the wound excessively, cover the wound with a light bandage or get a lampshade collar from your vet
