Pet Pawtraits Calendar 2007

Penny Lancaster has photographed twelve star pets and their celebrity owners for the 2007 PDSA Pet Pawtraits calendar, available by clicking here.

The calendar highlights the special relationship between celebrities and their pets and is one of the charity’s major fundraising initiatives. Profits from the sale of the calendar go directly to PDSA to help fund free veterinary care for sick and injured pets whose owners are unable to afford veterinary fees.

The calendar is new mum Penny’s first assignment since the birth of her son, Alastair, last year. Penny photographed most of the celebrities at their own homes, but it was their furry friends that took centre stage.

Penny said, ‘I became involved with PDSA because animals and photography are two of my biggest passions. Shooting the 2007 Pet Pawtraits calendar seemed like a great combination for me. It’s been great fun and I’m amazed at how well behaved all the animals were.’

The 2007 PDSA Pet Pawtraits calendar includes rock legend Sir Elton John with his playful Cocker Spaniels Arthur and Marilyn; pop icon Lulu with her cheeky Scottish Terrier, Clyde; rock star Rod Stewart with his Golden Labrador Mrs Potts, and beautiful actress Holly Willoughby with her cat, Miu Miu.

Priced at just £4.99, the 2007 PDSA Pet Pawtraits calendar can be purchased online, from PDSA’s 181 charity shops, or by calling 0800 917 2509. For one week only (24-31 August), calendars can be purchased from the Mall Galleries.
