Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre in Bridgend will be holding their annual fundraising Open Day on Sunday 9th July and are appealing for raffle and tombola prizes. The Open Day is a fantastic day out for the dog-loving public and always raises much needed funds to care for the stray and abandoned dogs of South Wales. A large amount of the money raised is generated from raffle tickets and, so far, the prizes have not been flooding in.
In the past, prizes have included spa days, electrical goods, restaurant vouchers, entrance to attractions, and gift vouchers, so any suggestions are welcome - the better the prizes, the more money will be raised.
Dogs Trust Supporter Relations Officer, Rhia Stankovic-Jones, says, ‘We are aiming to raise even more money this year and the raffle is key to making this happen. Every penny we raise goes straight back into the Rehoming Centre, ensuring all the dogs are well cared for whilst they are looking for new homes.
‘If you run a business or have something which you think would make a good prize, please get in touch as soon as possible.’
The centre are also looking for bric-a-brac and plants to sell on the day, please deliver donations to Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Bridgend, Court Colman, Pen-y-fai, Bridgend, Mid Glam, CF31 4NG. If you would like to offer a top prize for the raffle, please contact Rhia Stankovic-Jones on 01656 724 598.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 13,500 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 16 Rehoming Centres across the UK.
