My cat has been getting excessively more and more scabby over the last few months. I of course initially thought fleas however I have tried several different treatments and she has only gotten scabbier, also have not seen any fleas or dirt and my other cat and dog are fine.
She's eating and drinking normally and seems well within her self, however is covered in scabs ranging from tiny to about the size of a 5p.
As I have only just decided it is definately not fleas I wondered if anyone had any advise, if it could possibly be an allergy or dietry issue for example, before I go to the vet.
thanks

Could be stress... Could be any number of things. My cat got a funny patch on its back, but it turned out where we she was ducking under the fence the wood was slowly brushing her hair off!
I would take it to the vets to be sure. They'll work it out for you.

Did you get any answers from the vet?
My dog had a persistent scab because he kept scratching it just as it was healing. I used savlon in the end and took him for a walk immediately after application to let it sink in before he licked it off - not so easy with a cat perhaps?
Have you thought about putting on a surgical cone collar for a while?
