The RSPCA has announced that it is boycotting Crufts because it encourages the interbreeding of pedigree dogs, leading to breed deformities that could affect hte quality of a dog's life.
The Kennel Club says that this very closely monitored breeding actually helps prevent health problems as they can be spotted and then bred out.
What's your view? Should be all have mongrels or is it a good thing to have a breed standard and know the family history of every puppy?
