The RSPCA needs your help in caring for a record number of seals at its East Winch Wildlife Centre in Norfolk, which specialises in their rehabilitation.
At the moment it is costing the wildlife centre about £800 a week to feed the seals, which are a mix of mostly grey and some common seals. This is in addition to other British wildlife that the centre also cares for.
The number of seals at the wildlife centre peaked at 65 in March, which is more than double the 30 seals that were in its care at the same time last year.
The 'Meals for Seals' appeal aims to raise emergency funds for the East Winch Wildlife Centre by enabling the public to donate money to help the centre feed their guests and, ultimately, nurse the seals back to health.
The RSPCA would like to thank the caring members of the public - some from as far afield as Sweden - who have so far donated more than £1,000, in addition to towels and blankets.
