After a long, stressful day, nothing beats coming home to a cuddle with your pet. So wouldn't it be great if you could have your pet with you at work all day? On Wednesday 4 October your wish could come true. That's when The Blue Cross animal welfare charity is organising a 'Take Your Dog to Work Day'.
Research commissioned by the charity has revealed that stroking a dog can improve your health by lowering your heart rate and blood pressure and reducing your stress levels. The 'Take Your Dog to Work Day' gives owners the chance to benefit from their canine companion's calming influence in the workplace while their dogs have a fun day out.
Registration costs just £5 and the money goes to helping the Blue Cross help poor and unwanted animals. To sign up ring 020 7580 7097. All entrants receive a doggy goody bag and a canine bandana for their pooch to wear on the day. For more details about this and other Blue Cross campaigns, check out the website at www.bluecross.org.uk
